Troubleshooting

If FloWords says it’s transcribing but no text appears:

  1. Check Accessibility Permissions:
    • Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
    • Toggle FloWords OFF and then ON again.
  2. Check Cursor Focus:
    • Ensure your cursor is active in a text field.
  1. Check Permissions:
    • Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
    • Ensure FloWords is enabled.
  2. Check Input Device:
    • In FloWords Settings → Audio, ensure the correct microphone is selected.
  1. Check Model Selection:
    • Go to Settings → Models.
    • “Base” model is faster but less accurate. “Small” or “Medium” are more accurate but slower.
  2. Check CPU Usage:
    • Other intensive apps might slow down local processing.

  2. Include your macOS version and FloWords version
  3. Describe the steps to reproduce the issue

To view logs for troubleshooting:

  1. Open Console.app on your Mac
  2. Filter for “FloWords”
  3. Export the logs and attach them to your support email
