Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Common Issues
Section titled “Common Issues”Text Not Appearing
Section titled “Text Not Appearing”If FloWords says it’s transcribing but no text appears:
- Check Accessibility Permissions:
- Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
- Toggle FloWords OFF and then ON again.
- Check Cursor Focus:
- Ensure your cursor is active in a text field.
Microphone Not Working
Section titled “Microphone Not Working”- Check Permissions:
- Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
- Ensure FloWords is enabled.
- Check Input Device:
- In FloWords Settings → Audio, ensure the correct microphone is selected.
Transcription is Slow
Section titled “Transcription is Slow”- Check Model Selection:
- Go to Settings → Models.
- “Base” model is faster but less accurate. “Small” or “Medium” are more accurate but slower.
- Check CPU Usage:
- Other intensive apps might slow down local processing.
Reporting Bugs
Section titled “Reporting Bugs”If you encounter a bug, please report it:
- Email support@flowords.app
- Include your macOS version and FloWords version
- Describe the steps to reproduce the issue
To view logs for troubleshooting:
- Open Console.app on your Mac
- Filter for “FloWords”
- Export the logs and attach them to your support email
